    Welcome Stevied and Ski220!

You weren't missing much inside. This dude just warming his toes waiting for the 11am meet up. I immediately regret documenting this.

This pic made my day, and also made me cringe a little. Takes all kinds of feet, hands, and people to make the world go ‘round.

Disappointingly warm by the afternoon. Felt a bit like a March snow day where the 'pack was sagging a bit.

    At the village:
You would have thought it was a full on blower pow day
with the initial tram frenzy. Rental ski gapers trying to
cut line and getting tossed to out, along with their friends.
Fear today will only be worse.
North Hoback first then out. Man that got hit hard and fast.

4 inches of cream was just enough to refresh the surface.

Get it while it's soft, gonna be firm here for a coupla days.

Fucking gaper town out there a tad. Not overcrowded but some serious dingalings.

I shut the door on at least 2 line cutters the other day.

    It's gotta be done.

Been resting my pain for 4 days now, feels better after a massage therapy sesh.

Hope to ski you mags tomorrow and maybe have a waxroom get together this weekend. Prolly fri/sat evening. Holla if interested.

    GJ line cutters suck

You prob already know, but a heating pad can be a life saver for a sore back... now I'm past 50 yrs old it's almost daily routine while jonging around the computer after work. I know you paint and other construction; after a day of working on baseboard n crap heat pad is primo wrapped around that lower back.

hope you are all better soon

ID:	442249Went for the spoon the day after you Cy, wind had absolutely hammered it (and then it slid the next day) so we went for a walkabout and ended up here! Great snow, rough light. Seems to be the theme of the last few days for me.

Thanks baron, appreciate the Irie vibes. Feeling better, gonna smooth cruise tomorrow and remind my body what skiing is.

Excellent Schwerty, I think saturday is easier for mags, say so otherwise.
Let's shoot for anytime between 6-9 Sat. evening.

    Beers, Buds, etc.
    Wax and tuning available...

Unfortunately, when I arrived back at the lot a Ron's tow truck (they one they use for the heavy duty stuff) had JUST slid off the road into 10 vehicles, including mine. It's a mess... and still going on.

The driver got out to chain up & his vehicle slid into all of ours. Fortunately (a) he wasn't trapped and (b) no one was loading/unloading.

First appointment at a body shop is March 20th for me. Heading back out to deal with $h!t.

Really bummed to hear about your ride UAN. Is it drivable in the meantime or no?

I’ve been heavily entertained by the gaper shit and the stoke that y’all have been posting lately. (Well the tow truck post by UAN wasn’t entertaining. That just plain sucks). I’m planning on heading over to Wilson on Sunday and I’ll be skiing the Village M-W. Hoping to cash in on at least one or two powder days.

Visitor got stuck and was yelling for help in MnM today for quite a while even after being advised that help was coming. Couple more in granite (Football field) no gear and lost ( were told by the patrol to walk up when they called )...they did. If you want padded corners and blocked off sends go to Vail people. Line cutters, fuck em we all need to get on this a bit most often the whole line lets one person try and solve it...back them up verbally. That said when I poked my head in the tram office to let them know about one really arrogant cutting puke all five inside were elbowing each other out of the way to address it. On the positive (and most important side) what great snow every where I went today.

Do you have any info on a slide? That's the first I've heard of this. Would appreciate more intel. Thanks!

Oh man... hope you are feeling better soon.

Saturday isn't workable for me but Friday was possible (depending on vehicle situation).

Shit happens. It's actually lucky that no one other than the driver was there at the moment that huge tow truck slid out. People easily could have been loading/unloading gear/sleds. The driver is also lucky he wasn't in another position as he might have gotten pinned/killed.

It's just property. We'll all be made whole (if you're gonna get hit, get hit by a commercial vehicle!) — it'll just be a long and inconvenient process.

I just retrieved my vehicle off the Pass... Not sure if it'll be safe to drive or I'll need to figure out another plan.

Anyway.... nice snow today — very aspect/elevation-dependent conditions. Adding just a couple degrees south vs east could go from light/pleasurable to crusty. Fortunately we skinned S-facing and skied E-facing. Last 500' to the valley floor was a little heat-affected.

Liked this frame a little better.

This guy's been at the game in JH/TV for more than 45 years, has stuff named after him here. I'm fortunate to call him a good friend — and to ski pow together.

What a difference a day makes.
Surprisingly, smaller tram line this morning. And no asshattery.
I think all the jongs tired themselves out yesterday.
30 minute delay opening, but it didn’t matter
as it was dumping and just getting deeper.

Reserved a round trip private dining car for lunch.

    .

Last run a ‘troller was sitting on the top gate. “Can’t let
you through. Doing a rescue in M & M. Are you familiar
with that area”. “Nope. Don’t go near it”. “Ha, ha. Lower
    gate is open though.”
Walked up the crossover, a patrol was talking to 2 boarders.
Granite’s kind of steep and deep. How do you walk up ?

Got back from a quick 4 day trip. Damn you guys are having a killer season! Only had time on Saturday for a granite lap and then headed to Plummer for a few nights. Was so stoked to be back in Jackson and skiing with old (and new) friends. Had been way too long.

Pic (poor quality) from ML on Saturday afternoon. Will not be surprised if it ends up being the best run of my season. We usually can't ski lines like this in CO until May given our usual shitty snowpack. If the lotto group buy hits, I'm moving to Wilson next week!
