Is the opening date in jeopardy? Looking at the NWS forecast temps during the day for the next week are generally 40's during the day which is not snow making temps.

There is quite a bit of manmade up there and with it all being north facing I think they'll be fine.

Interesting...Alta's website is now showing a 11/29 opening but I haven't seen any announcements. I'd rather skin the groomer with 30 of my closest friends than ski the WROD with 5k of my closest friends.

must've seen 30 headlamps going up on my first lap descent this morning, I wondered if it was some event I was unaware of. fun to see that many people up early, stoked and smiling. hopefully some real snow comes soon.

it was just closed at night the one night; but I think within ~7 days of opening they could close it. so... today it's open. maybe tomorrow too. maybe the weekend? but who knows. they state their opening as 11/29 right now. Originally Posted by criscam
