^^^ haha. and definitely the truth (the bowls and being pretty fast bit)

why pinnacle over Boston lot? Never been to pinnacle but it definitely seems like the consensus around here that Boston Lot is better. but whatever, I'm a huge Boston Lot homer and think it is one of the best trail networks I've ridden in the east (and definitely one of the most under rated)

awf170 is probably right, but in my limited exposure to Boston Lot, it seemed to be a lot of short ups and downs. Pinnacle offers some good longer climbs which obviously leads to longer downhills.

And yes, buttah is fast. Just bring your ear plugs .

We have a spot like that right near my house. Fast fast if you know the lines with some wild playgrounds in the old granite quarry sections. One of my favorite places to go recently. Short but brutal climbs, nothing over 150 foot vert but sharp and painful. Winding, whippy, rolly polly with a bunch of rock gardens and rock wall rollovers and well maintained and marked. In fact I think I just got myself all excited and have to go do an hour or two after dark tonight. Anybody in?

No reason - just found more online about Pinnacle. I'm down for BL - ya'll are making it sound

Beta? I have a map for Pinnacle. Mappage or suggestions or guide for BL appreciated. Post ride beers provided.

10A is about my earliest start - fuck MORE getting up early on my days off. Plus, I need bacon digestion time.

Everything up here is more climbing than by me.

No, but close. Let's meet here:
    http://goo.gl/maps/SrRVT

if you can't open that for whatever reason, it's Pine Tree Cemetery Road, right across the street from the cemetery. Which is right next to where the road crosses over I-89.

Shoot me a text tomorrow if anything changes/or you need more specific directions.

Anyone else riding in the D2R2 this weekend? Yeah yeah yeah, it's lame, too much gravel, and not even a race, but should be a fun party. I will be bringing up the rear in the 180km ride

Have fun at BL. Could be a hot one.

Had to score some meth, so I headed to Newport for a quick ride at Pinnacle before it warmed up. If anyone wants to check the place out, let me know.

Sorry I couldn't play today at BL. Did have the pleasure of trying to keep up with scrubby on the exit run at STAB yesterday, my first ride back since a rib break a few weeks ago.

Great to shoot the breeze with ya in the lot scrub, look forward to hearing how today was- BL is a new local option for me that I am stoked on. Also stoked you made it to Station- that place is a gem. Go spend your money in Windsor mags- eating drinking and shop time right on the Montrealer line is a great way to wile away a post-ride afternoon.

Hit KT with PJ09, his wife, some friends, and one of my kids yesterday Need to go back many times, since my body only goes so far these days.

Great weather and other than my kid exploding his rear derailleur it was a perfect day.

BL was a good tour, for a bit over an hour.

Original owner, just shy of two years. In talks with SC already, supposedly going to get a SOLO/5010 frame as replacement. Which is nice, except that I'm not really wanting to go 650b just yet... They say they are full out of TRc replacement bits. Fuck.

Link bolt went snap, then the stay gave. Ooops. Thought it was just the pivot at first, but once getting home and cleaning.taking shit apart discovered it was the stay as well.

Running my Pike at 150mm. Thinking swapping that direct with wheels over to the new frame - the a2c on it is 10mm taller than the 130mm travel 650b Pike on the stock build - I'm thinking that may be enough to offset the smaller wheels and not have the BB dragging on the ground, and still give me that wee touch more slackness I like over the stock HTA.

    Thoughts?

At least the 142 rear, un-drilled-by-me stealth post routing, ISCG tabs, are nice touches. . Also means I have to get adapter bits for my hub. Grrrrrr!
