    trying to jog my memory

About 3/4 years ago was there a 4-5" diameter tree bent over sideways at launch point or right below?

Trying to see if my hisory lesson serves me well or I am thinking of the line just skiers right.

your memory serves you correctly .... harpo went up in a rainstorm a couple of summers ago on a friday and cut it down; God only knows where it ended up.

Now that I made sure that my memory serves me correctly- I can (in good conscience) add my name to the list of individuals who made the commitment. Although- I need to have an asterisk next to my name that says, "said individual chickened out in the air and decided to hip check the landing instead of making a go at sticking it." In addition, It wasn't as sketchy during my launch- the LZ was all filled in 8-10 feet past take off in late Feb- Probably 1/2 the difficulty as a December attempt.

    WTF?

Did Blurred step up to the challenge?
Did Xover really huck? Or just jump?
Did Str8line really do it a million times?
Is this really Alta's gnarliest air?
Will someone please post a pic of this air that isn't a rex box?
Was Burt really abducted by aliens?
Will Benson lose it and tell the honkeys to step off?
Will The Major enlist in the Iraq war?
Will Jessica, Mary and Corrine do a threesome involving peanut butter?

Find out next week, on TGR Soap.
    Kill all the telemarkers
But they’ll put us in jail if we kill all the telemarkers
    Telemarketers! Kill the telemarketers!
Oh we can do that. We don’t even need a reason

Gnarliest air at Alta? Look up at Baldy and take your pick.

R4 and the Nest are for billygoats. Not that I haven't spent a lot of time going baa-aa-aa myself.

i always thought that splitting the difference on those trees would be cool. if i remember though its tough to get up speed above that air if you have to traverse in from the dogleg

Yup, it's called Goalpost and it is pretty damn huge.

Fucking hilarious to read Xover's spew from back-in-the-day. BWAHAAAAAHAAAAA! We need more of his hype around here.

Sucker had mellowed quite a bit. Must be the gray hair setting in.

Next will be the rocking chair.

Yeah can anyone find that picture of Dave McR? He hit it coming from above and looker's left, and basically cleared the whole fucking thing, trees and all. It was in a photo gallery a few years back I recall.

    Nice fucking work.

....and I'm pretty sure he landed like 40ft out of frame. Maybe 80.

Dave calls this air two trees and I am pretty sure he spun a 3 off it like 10 years ago.

RIP Ted Shred. I dont know how many on this forum knew him but or how often he used to post here but he was a really good dude. He passed away about four weeks ago. Its sad to hear for sure but Id like to say that he lived one heck of a life. We went to HS together back in dirty Jerz. He went from Jersey to Dreamland and litterlly lived the dream. Not that many people in this world can claim to have done the same.
I was there that day Dave through that 3 off that cliff drop on Baldy winter 97-98. I saw it from the top of the Collins chair. It was dope.

A few seasons ago a guy built a kicker at the top of tiger tail So like a dip I went off and soon realized he built it with a huge pine tree in the landing

So I took off headed straight for the tree and plowed through it sideways

Both skis came off and one ran down the hill like 200 yards

When I went through the tree it bent and I pushed through the topper

Needless to say now I spot all landings

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues
