^^ Yeah, unless you plan to do it by mid Sept., an outdoor show is a terrible idea...

Hell, they had to cancel the MSP screening 2 or 3 years ago due to a freak October snowstorm that prevented the crew from reaching the venue...

    Yep. Google it.

We all got our money back, or the DVD sent to us. Attack of La Nina I believe...

Can't make that kinda shit up. At least if you plan to claim it on a ski forum!

Grateful Dead played here - LOTS - and Phil Lesh still does on a regular basis. Very good beer too.

You could expect a decent crowd, judging by turnout for Warren Miller snoozefest in nearby Stamford every year. Lots of ski shops and interest here, not just Muffy and Buffy going to Stratton for cocktails and hot tubs.
+1 on Capitol theatre- place is great these days

Hey all, that time of year again and so looking for your opinion. Want to know how you would rank our recent venues, which was your favorite and second favorite out of: Webster Hall, Irving Plaza, Best Buy theatre. Let us know, thanks

As for a westchester mag. Def hit up the Capitol in port Chester. It's an awesome old school venue. The grateful dead used to play there all the to e back In the day, garcia's is a great spot too. Despite drawing a NYC crowd, you would appeal to the Locals along with the Stamford and Greenwich, ct crowds.......it really is a great venue. Why not come up to the burbs!

Yep. The NY & CT 'burb dwelllers (like myself) would be all over a showing @ the Capitol theater. Awesome venue, with a quality bar. Right off the highway, and steps from a metro north station.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that there are a lot more skiers in the 'burbs than living in the city....

We hear you guys loud and clear about the burbs, the problem is our NYC venue typically limits us from having another show within a radius. The best we can do is have the New York show midweek so that people could go from work hopefully before heading back to the burbs. Otherwise we would be all over the Capitol theater.

Hopefully we can find the best venues around though, which is why we want your opinions. Thanks again for the help.

I hear the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum is looking to fill space for next fall, would even be lots of tailgate opportunities as well.
