Vail Resorts Uniform Fit Guide (Is this for real?)

Stumbled across this on Vimeo. Reminds me of one of those safety videos you watch before going on a ride at Disney. Seems like a very passive aggressive way of getting their message across.

    Meh, whatever.

Uniforms are the biggest pain in the ass I deal with so I see a lot of pretty good info in the video.

Looked at HH several years ago, went with Arcteryx.
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

Oh it's definitely for real. It seems someone has never worked at a ski "resort"... Much more offensive and nonsensical passive aggressive bullshit goes on than this.

This chicks haircut is classic. Cute, maybe - but this video is hilarious. Reminds me of the old blood on the highway high school videos. I never ski at Vail so it won't matter. But we will require a full TR from somebody. Can they locate a man with a beard? Can women have ponytials or braids? Do women and men have to have the same haircut? inquiring minds want to know.
I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

The insulator is not designed as an outer layer, it is very fragile! .... Question... why is there a name tag on such a delicate under garment?

hehe, I've got about five packets and can get more. But I washed my new uniform 3 times in hot water and detergent trying to break it in a little. It's so stiff and HEAVY. I guess I'll really appreciate it when it's below zero outside. Breck be cold.

I never saw the video before, working for Vail for 6 years. Since I'm fully assimilated, when do I get the eye gizmo? In the past I've rolled over the waistband on my pants to put them on my hips - so much more comfortable. Guess that's not kosher.

At least she doesn't have to worry about helmet hair! With that haircut I expected her to start into a rendition of "Zombie."

It's one of the five pieces of flair.
It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

Agreed. 6 years at Whistler/Blackcomb and a few at Thredders in Australia have allowed me to see a lot of the ugliness first hand. Oddly, Australia was the worst, even worse than WB 6 years prior to them tightening everything up. Funny shit though!

Ooooh, just got the video in my email, weekly employee newsletter. I know plenty of instructors that got xxxl. Wonder if they'll have to trade them in. We did get cute suspenders this year.

Kinda bogus about large sizes not keeping you warm.

I don't think you understand the steeze level required at Breck.

You mean the capital of Summit County?

I'd imagine the level must be at 11?
