I wouldn't go down to Big White. It does not have good steeps except for cliff, although the cliff did not open today (I think?). If you just want maximum pow I have a feeling Apex got more then 41cm for the day as their report was at 8am and it continued to snow until early afternoon there.

if you're really from minneapolis, big white would probably be great although it might be skied out (it's one of the bigger interior mtns in acreage/# of lifts). heavier than normal snow at bw is probably really good snow, it tends to be quite light in the okanagan.

looks like heaps of snow is moving in Friday.

Ymir Snowfest is happening Feb 19. Old school snowmobile races, skating/pick up hockey, snow sculptures, ski jumping, kids games, dinner at the hall (presale tickets), other fun stuff.

went to Revy last week Wednesday & happened to be on subpeak to bear witness as Rory bagged Mount Mackenize for the second consecutive day - on tele's. speechless & in awe.

Kicking Horse & Revy skiers are skilled in the extreme.

Oh, it can get really good, if a little short on vertical. Was wind affected yesterday, and managed to tweak my knee on the first run. Still put in a lot of runs, what a trooper. Still, a foot of snow takes the pain away

Revy and Golden sound very nice, seem to be the topic of choice on the lifts. Me likey Revelstoke!

Anything steep and fun was wind fubared.

But we got a few runs
(I screwed up editing this, it is distorted and stretched) in then went exploring. Whatever, it was sunny finally. Such a fun zone with numerous bowls and aspects, really easy to get around as well on a day like this.

^^^ yeah..... it would really suck for you if half of the skiers from the okanagan and kamloops didn't show up.

Whats it doing up there? Doesn't look to active on radar and the web cams.

hey sparkle, a buddy of mine is cat skiing at Valhalla Sunday and Monday. Someone dropped out at last minute so I can get in half price! Do you think the forecasted temperature spike would make that a sucky time at all? I've got good options on this side too (Canucks game Saturday and a big dump to hit Whistler on Monday that I would be bailing on). So I'm trying to weigh which way to go?? Leaning towards catskiing it up if the snow will stay ok

you are asking me to forecast the weather?! haha. I'd go. They have good elevation. last time it warmed up there was light rain at ww 1600m to 2000m. sunday says 5, monday says 8 but weather network says 5 on monday. snowforecast says freezing level of 1400m for Monday. at the worst you might have to stick to high elevation trees on Monday. that's not so bad, our trees are awesome.

Skied the Fingers the other day with Alive and Gurpy. Great snow, got a bunch of legitimate faceshots. Very reactive layer sluffing down 25cm, I'd certainly keep my head down this weekend if the forecast materializes.

Was snowing hard for part of this morning. Has lightened up right now. Road closed in your direction for avy control, was closed in the other direction for an accident.

For sure skiing tomorrow. My brother and a friend of his are coming to town. Fire me a text if you head out this way. The way it's snowing right now, almost certainly hit the resort.
