    Freeride Mounting Pattern

I bought a pair of skis that were supposedly mounted for fritschi freerides. When I line up my medium white/black/red freerides on the ski, the holes don't align correctly. The holes on the ski have the same approximate pattern as my bindings, but the spacing is off enough to necessitate a remount.

Question: do the different length freeride bindings have different mounting patterns? Do the different year freerides have different mounting patterns.

I suspect, based on what I gathered from wildsnow.com, that the answer to both these questions is no.

I can't speak about fritchis but Naxos have a different mount point with each length.

Each size has a different spacing, all freerides have the same hole pattern but the plus has an extra hole.

I assume the long size has longer spacing than the medium size. Is that correct?

the difference in sizing is the length of the bar. A longer bar means the tour lever needs to be back farther. So yes, long has longer spacing.

This is not what I'm referring to. Comparing only the holes for the toepieces, they do not line up. The difference in spacing is only a few millimeters, but enough that I can't remount in the same holes. The same is true for the heelpieces, the three holes on the ski do not line up with the three screws on my binding. Does that make sense?

hurrr? the only thing I can think of is he was using riser plates of some sort (WTF?) or he actually didn't mount them for freerides..... possibly naxos or similar.

Seems to me that whoever did the original freeride mount did it by hand with a paper jig and messed it up a fair bit.

I don't see how you could mess up the toe mount, and wouldn't it mean they are unskiable if the holes don't match up?
