    TR - Shelf Road Climbing

Spent the weekend climbing at shelf road. I love Colorado.

    The climbers:

    me

    and non mag daniel

We camped in the Sand Gulch camp grounds and did most of our climbing in the gulch as well.

    daniel climbing up

some guy on a spire down the wall from me.

the front moving into southern colorado

I'm not really sure about this one, I think I was excited to go to the west side of Sand Gulch. Either way...

    Stemming up fun route

    Super stepping

Only took one big fall (for me anyways), a 30 footer after my foot blew in a flake just out of reach from the next clip.

I woke this morning to 35 ish degrees in my 35 degree bag, which was not feeling so warm.

If you were debating it, get out and climb, its great right now!

NICE Brice. That's a pretty sweet fall, lol. How do you like those Katanas? I'm thinking about replacing my anasazis with a pair of those.

Sticky! I love them. I've heard the best thing to do is get a pair then resole them with 5.10 rubber. You will not regret them at all, do it.

Or you could just get some 5.10 shoes (they come with 5.10 rubber built in.)

    Touche!

(To clarify I meant when you need to re-sole, get 5.10. The katana is a great shape for climbing, but the 5.10 rubber is better than sportivas supposedly.)
