Continuing a pretty rad road trip across UT/CO/NM

Rode with Adrenalated, North, Goldenboy and others for almost a week near Rico. Pics all held hostage now on dead laptop, but can confirm riding was awesome.

Headed east after that and checked out Treasure Mtn near Pagosa Springs. Awesome descent!

Headed down to NM next. Finally rode Lost Lake loop north of Angel Fire.

Then went down to South Boundary. Big construction delays soni only did 2/3 but climbed up Monodragon which was double track but super scenic with aspens going off.

Went CCW. Smoother climb and fun chunky descent. Tons and tons of deadfall had been cut out especially on the descent. Only 1 tree down near the top. Great ride!

Go forth and ride, then bring back pics

One of the better uses of a vacation day in a while. 75* high, nice foliage, 4+ hr loop, 37 miles/4k elevation solo. Linked 6 county/state park trail systems via PA’s horseshoe trail and some gravel/double track. Probably 60% rocky leafy singletrack I wanted my trail bike, connectors was glad to have the HT

Tomorrow is the last day of the current inversion pattern, aka the last day of the 2023 Playoffs of Mountain Biking (TM) in Western Oregon.

North/Middle/South Sister, Broken Top, and a wee itty bitty Bach that’s really only viewable in the full res version:

The wood sorrels are getting pale and not really unfurling much anymore this time of year … but this stretch of trail is still magic:

Pretty splendid tread surface below 4500’ today!

Now it’s this time of year …
