Morning break in meetings, got a good one in from home before the thaw.

Downside of plus tires on HT is low pressure doesn’t play well with landing on roots! Time for an insert

35* and 24 hours of rain few days ago resulted in my annual trip to South Jersey pine barrens. No matter how much rain place drains quick, this season they had a big wildfire but trails faired pretty well. 30 miles, ~800’ very and about a million turns. Busted out 12 y/o old Ti SS Lynskey, modern geo definitely trumps this old girl.

Go forth and ride, then bring back pics

Wasn’t the temps resulting in an escape, just mud locally. Not any warmer in NJ. Have a bunch of riding buddies that wear shorts riding all year long. Find these things called pants generally work pretty well when it is cold though.

But you win I guess, what I’m not sure.

Though snow rides often take so much effort you’ve got to go light on the layers

You guys are far more manly men than I.
As I get older, I just can't handle cold anymore. This past week has been a rare one in the teens/low 20s here in northern NM.
Brand new bikes and perfectly dry trails still couldn't motivate me and Mrs. Roxtar out for a ride.
Salida will be upper 40s between the holidays. I'll hold off till then.

    Haha. Touché.
Between ribs and shoulder, I’ve probably got another 6-8 weeks until I can get after it again.

It's been a cold week across the west, the Mojave included but progress continued regardless on the White Cliffs project in Kingman, Arizona. I'll post up a bunch more pics in the trail building thread if anyone is interested in seeing more riding/terrain shots. The system is turning out better than I had even planned or thought was possible. If you're passing through make sure to go check it out.

I'm looking at being in that area next November. As a direct result of your posts, I'm going to try to plan a stop in Kingman.

    Thanks for the information!
