We just received our first official weather forecast from our one and only weather man: Dan Tackett!

Dan's Latest Forecast
"This current weather pattern has been with us since mid summer. A persistent low pressure trough off the West Coast has kept the summer relatively cool and diverted summer mountain thunderstorms to the east and south. Now that fall is here, the same weather pattern is bringing in small bursts of precipitation and cool conditions. This weather pattern did not exist last fall. Most long range models have this pattern continuing through around Christmas. If the pattern holds, expect above normal precipitation and below normal temperatures. In other words, we are looking at a better than average chance of decent early snow.

Another shot of light precipitation and cooler air will move through Thursday night into Friday morning. The weekend looks dry, but the jet stream (which is now causing northwest rain) is looking to ease further south next week and bring better chances of precipitation."
