    PNW Fall Snow/Skiing Thread (Official)

So, I see a lot of PNW stoke floating around people, but what we need is unity. I'm taking Cascadia, From the Coast Range right on thru the good ol' Cascades.

Here's a pic from Paradise this morning. Friday looks like it will be the day..

Here's the B'ham herald shot from yesterday:

Another 9 to 12 in the forecast this week, but we still have the early season yo-yo going.

Should be good up high, probably a few feet and cold.

I'm skiing Friday and Saturday both I think.

I knew there was a reason I kept this job... it just took winter returning to remind me.

Shit... I just happen to be flying into PDX from Los Angeles Thursday night.

Any good ideas for total BC JONGs (My girlfriend has barely ridden powder, as she is from NJ) I was already planning on taking her up to Hood to go hiking, but now it looks like we may be snowshoeing, and if we are snowshoeing, we might as well be skiing.

I think Timberline will be open if you want to pay.

Otherwise it's pretty easy. Park at Timberline. Go up. Ski down. Try not to get lost.

we're up to 65cm last time I checked. If I recall correctly we had but a fraction of that much this time last year. I'm anxiously awaiting the first opportunity i have to head up to crowfoot or the anstey range/malakwa.

Just moved to Bellingham, and would definitely like to get out skiing this weekend if anyone wouldn't mind showing a newbie the ropes.

    Well done Zbo!

Man, I'm jonesing. Got some things I have to finish up here in the lowlands before I can spend precious time on the weekends skiing though. How lame is that?

Maybe I'm reading into this but it appears that our own GG has been busy pre-season at Mt. Baker: http://mtbaker.us/

that is from this season, right?

edit: ok, now I've got both eyes open and I agree; great pic but not this season

    Thumbs up

Hmmm, may have to dust off the AT gear for this weekend's mayhem. Wish I could join the Friday assault, but this job thing get's in the way sometimes. Since I just started, I should probably wait a couple months before blowing them off

Where do you think this next front in going to hit? Baker, Stevens, Paradise, Hood???
