I have a 292 bsl qand got the large. Should I mount it 18cm forward of the line? If so what colour snow pants should I wear?

    FYI, the skis are brown.

    Ummm.

    Geee...

    Let's see......

At least 2 or three times in this post alone, it was mentioned that Ptex1 (the maggot who coordinated a group buy of Dukes for us) has confirmed the smalls will fit up to 325 boot sole. So my guess at this point is YES, they will fit.

Feel free to meet me and Dookey at Sushi Sam's in San Mateo for lunch tomorrow at noon. I'll have his smalls with me and you can see for yourself.

I don't have experience, but my understanding is that they'll be borderline, but make it. I have a 324 and was told I could go either way.

I went into my local ski store and saw a letter Marker sent their dealers. It said any boot over 312 BSL needed a Large Duke. 312 to 325 will fit in a Small Duke, but there will be too much forward pressure.

^^^My guess is that this is for litigious reasons. I personally ski high on the fwd pressure line at times. Expect companies to be conservative with anything that could result in a law suit.

Damned shop is out of smalls. My boot is 315 (alpine)...so they will fit a large, but really wanted a small. Shall I stick with the large? (probably alright)

Alternatively I think I'll give a shop in Alberta a call, see if they have Smalls.

Sorry to bump an oldie but thought it better than starting a new thread.

I'm going to order Dukes for a touring setup next season (my first). My current boots (Head S12 alpine boots) are BSL 327mm. They are slightly on the big side and I think the next pair I buy might be down one shell size, I'm guessing a shell size is about 2cm? The other thing is if I go into touring boots in the future I understand they will also be a shorter BSL.

Realistically I'm going to use this boots for at least next season, and it sounds like 327mm is too big for the smalls, am I right in ordering the larges? If I go down a shell size am I going to have problems with say a ~305-310mm BSL in a large Duke?

    Thanks for any help

1 shell size = 1cm, all things being equal.

As said above, a shell size is 1 cm, and you'll have no problems with the large even bumping down two sizes. I forget the exact number that they go down to, but its around 300.

Thanks guys, I'll be going with larges then for sure as I don't think I'll be going down more than one shell size if I do.
