    Just today

And…I feel really bad for the guy who had to quit the boot lube. How on earth do you get boots on without a frosty cold beer? unpossible.

Fuck, red gives me cold sweats in the summer time, but I hear that clan buster will be on their annual holistic-heart-ski-moon mission though, which makes it more attractive to be sure.

I guess the question will be whether or not the apres will continue now that half the house is pregnant...

Après ski seems to be at his best between legal drinking age and the age you
begin speaking of mortgage, insurance and stock market.

Did this kind of stuff keep the Germans from bombing Pearl Harbor?

    Nooooooooooooooooo!

Did it keep our parents from draging our dirty lil asses up the hill for a day of skiing followed by Apres ski?

The apres ski scene is still big in Yurp. But to yuro's skiing has a whole different meaning then it does here. It is more about taking a few runs, drink in the hutta's, ski a run, drink more. Stop for great food a lunch, ski drink, ski. When 3 PM hits, it is time to go to the apres bars, and drink in earnest. It is no wonder that they don't get on the slope until 11 the next day.

My way of skiing is get first lift, ski as many good runs before the crowds hit, cruise through the middle of the day, and ski 'till last lift. After a beer or two a 5 o'clock eat dinner, sleep, repeat.

Oh, and BTW, the yuro's dance in their ski boots these days, except the Bogner crowd, who have the 2,000 euro boots on with the fur around the calf.

I agree it is a constitutional right for Americans to be assholes...its just too bad that so many take the opportunity...

How 'bout get some actual skiing in from 3 to 4, go to locker room, dig around in the snow bank, slurp down a coupla pbr's, change boots/clothes, go to bar with nothing but employees and a few choice locals, drink until you get kicked out or the last bus is heading home.

The urban commuters don't do it because skiing + commuting is part of daily life, much the way locals don't much. It used to be that a trip up 6 really was a step outside the normal life.
[Note: bolding above mine] hunh? My point is that locals, that is, employees, tend to be heavy apres imbibers, except its apres tourons, not apres ski.

That was pretty much the point I was trying to make. The Après ski Reply to Thread mentioned earlier is not so much hang out with a few friends/coworkers at the bar/wherever in some closely knit circle of like minded friends where everyone has passed some entrance exam, it's get wild and crazy with random other superbly drunk people. See the Mooserwirt, Ischgl kutstals, etc. - a thousand plus people getting hammered talking, chatting, etc. You need boots to see and be seen.

I guess it's popular at Mammoth
