Not trying to brag (too much), but I may only be one of a handful of people that saw both the Dead and the Dalai (Lama) at Barton Hall. I know, bfd . It was very fun... at least the Dead show. Front row for both, too.

The Dead was the climax of my freshman year (1977) and the Dalai Lama came there in 1991, at the end of my senior year. (No typos... you read that right! )

OSECS... EW is a frustrated architect/artist and very accomplished builder (which means he had to deal with architects daily, etc. and you know what that's means!!! )

And as a frustrated artist, myself, I could not help but notice how all my little "smiley faces" line up like colorful little x-mas lights! [END GAYPOST]

I knew there was something different about you :-)

No, actually, in the spirit of Christmas I was coming back to delete that post but BigD caught it already. It was simply a blatant effort to get a rise outta the man cause we like doing that. Like the pow day call him from the lift:-)).

Re: my experiences with architects, 95% have been wonderful. It's the engineers who are the REAL crackheads.

btw, thanks spritey (I guess I can't pretend I knew what I was doing anymore):-))

    carry on and merry christmas

I think most of the architects and engineers I've worked with, and met over my career are usually mostly kinda strange (not necessarily in a bad way, but different). I'm sure it's been said of me as well.

Summer project 2008: An assist from my son on the labor. excavation, irrigation installation, rock dust placement and mechanical tamping, sand placement and more tamping. 16 X 16 pre cast conc. paver installation, limestone lintel steps, leveling and fine tuning of the pavers (used 2" x 2" PVC blocks to help with spacing) , top soil installation, more compaction, followed by seeding (trying to beat the fall frost), fertilizing and then waiting for grass to sprout. Great space for summer star gazing and grilling. Thinking about a canopy of Tivoli lights above the patio at some point down the road (economy willing).

I built the frame today for my girlfriend... the picture is a little something i whipped up for her for Channukkah... charcoal on canvas.... not my best, but it is decent for an hour or so of my time

and she liked it, and it worked out in my favor

and the bed in the back of my truck

and my garden... went from this:

Good idea. I know people in Ojai who would knock each other over to buy it.

I can also do something like this as a maggot award/different wording, some day.
    Any thoughts?

again, sorry if this looks like spam..

Check out the website I was surprised with tonight. I don't know if I'll change anything but I got a good laugh.

Casa Rootskier could use one of those....there is no pricing information though. How much does something like that run?

Can you make at least one of them flailing on freeheels?

    Thanks Root.
I know there's no pricing, I just received the website link. I really love it.
This idea is in it's infancy. You're the first "customer".. very appropriate, and I appreciate that.

Let me work out the fine points, I'm just testing the waters. Any preference on the design?... I can make anyone flailing :-))))

    I haven't forgotten the knuckledraggers....
