So, I was just reminded of how good Arrested Development was...

.. you know, that show that got cancelled a few years back...

There's one scene where David Cross' charactor Tobias shows his wife, Lindsey, his business card.

"Okay, Lindsay, are you forgetting that I was a professional twice over -- an analyst and a therapist. The world's first analrapist." - Tobias

    F'ing great show! Please discuss...

Great show, wrong forum . I think that it is on the Canuckian channel daily, sometime around 6pm or so if you want to try to pick up some more episodes.

Oops... I forgot about the music + TV forum...

I ended up getting them all on DVD, so they're at my fingertips whenever I want. Good stuff...

In that same episode, they show an Amazon.com listing for Dr. Tobias Funke's "The Man Inside Me."

It says that people who bought his book also bought "Families with Low Self-Esteem" video by Tobias," Caged Wisdom: Musings From Prison" by Geoarge Bluth Sr., "Girls with Low Self-Esteem" (the Girls Gone Wild-style video with GOB's botched magic show in it) and "The Low-Carb Gay, Bi, and Transgender Diet" by B. J. Zuckerkorn (the family attorney played by Henry Winkler).

I'm so disappointed that the show got cancelled...

One more... when George Michael learns that his crush on Maeby may not be as sinful as he thinks since she might be an adopted cousin, he asks his uncle Gob about it:

George Michael: Uncle Gob, was Aunt Lindsay ever pregnant?
Gob: Yeah, sure, dozens of times. Michael, I need the company checkbook.

This spring, a bar in St. Paul played 5-6 episodes every Monday night, from the first episode to the last. Just about the best possible way to end a Monday and start the week, ever; a good, healthy dose of AD. The bar had 30 dank taps, to boot.

    Two of my favorite scenes:

    Godzilla

    And, the Chicken Dance

When confronted with the pictures of the WMDs, attorney Barry Zuckercorn immediately states: "Balls. Those are balls."

    Carl Weathers makes a stew:

Tobias shares his "never nude" problem with George Michael, while George Michael is wearing the body suit to impress is cousin:

"People Everyday" was a good song and all, but it was really just a remake of Sly's tune.

"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, "Wow, what a Ride!"

    Best. Show. Ever.

I seem to remember that Lindsey Bluth actually posted in that Raccoon/Coke thread?

    "Shoot me!"

Edit to say: So why the fuck did the show get cancelled if there was such a following? It was pure genius, the best comedy on TV.

I've been a fan for awhile - recently had changed the "byline" under my username - check me out! Critically acclaimed, but never built much of a viewership - often had a tough time slot to compete at. Though, I did feel like the 1st season was the best and it sort of trailed off slowly from there...

Hey, if I ever need a thread full of "We're sorry, that video is no longer available" I know where to come.

Gob: ... nothing comes to mind.
    Michael ... besides Lindsay...
    Gob: OHHH Lindsay!
