When was the 1st post in TGR Forums?

I've found a few posts back to 10/2002 in the archives and last page of the padded room. Who knows when was the 1st post in this now extensive rat's nest we know and love?

    Hmmm.
You mean TGR specific, and not the lost Powder archives.

Had to come from one of the first folks to register. I assume it would be an admin.

But they’ll put us in jail if we kill all the telemarkers
    Telemarketers! Kill the telemarketers!
Oh we can do that. We don’t even need a reason

Message was edited in 2001, but ONS's joint date is 2003? Hmm, smells like a conspiracy.

The first post was from a member of the Illuminati, about how the Rothschilds and the Freemasons are plotting to steal what's left of the Knights Templar's treasure, use it to finance a One World Government and take away our guns. It was posted from a remote link on the Grassy Knoll, using a miniature computer planted in the poster's mandible and developed from technology found at the Roswell crash site and perfected at Area 51.

Fill me in on the history vis a vis Powder forums. That forum still exists and claims to be the "home of the maggots"

Let me explain...no, that'll take too long, so let me sum up...
This ongoing party started at K2 chatter, got kicked out and moved to Powder Magazine (Magazine -> "Maggots"). Powder's beancounters decided to erase "old and useless crap" to save disk space and party folks complained loudly about the loss of history, so Powder promised to not erase it again. A few months later the Powder history was again erased, so the party split and courtesy of Owens and TGR has been hosted here ever since.
Good runs when you get them.

There was a forum here that well predated the exodus from powmag. I don't know when it actually opened but I would guess around….99 or so. It was relatively primative and ONS had to move to UBB almost immediately after the exodus…I think.

    Ahhhh - that's informative.

Glad ONS/TGR have kept investing $s and time in it.

Investing money? Please, the last mass exodus scare showed that It would only costs like $120/year to run a message board.

That looks like a good explanation of the exodus. Quite a drama.

I forget when exactly i started the original forum here, but it was probably 3 years before the powmag exodus.

I made the first post and it said ---- "testing. Test me, test me, why don't you arrest me?"

That ONS post was the first of this iteration of the board but as he mentions in the post, it existed before that. All the original messages were wiped out when he upgraded but there weren't very many of them.
