thats the set he got kicked off for playing in miami. I bet you someone got fired for that mistake.
Although, ive seen him several times recently and know what to expect, but there are always people who assume its 'Entroducing' live and are very disappointed that it's not.
Actually shadow had no business playing that club. It's not a live music venue. The promoter fucked up. Fans wanted him to keep spinning but shadow was told " we don't play that type of music here"...
Was Prefuse 73 on anyones list?

formerly an ambassador for a few others, but the ski industry is... interesting.

^^^ He's doing a big US/Canada tour as well. I'll be seeing him either in Boston or Burlington, very excited.
Here's the full version of Cirrus. Fantastic tune.
No kick turns
No mercy
A lot of good shit in this thread.
Throwing in some more favs of mine.
Not pure electro like Orbital or others.
Pansonic or Rinneradio : Finnish groups, ethno mixed with some really cool shit.
The Knife or Fever Ray : both the same couple, swedish, cool, dark stuff.
Aphex Twin : duh.
Recoil : ex depeche mode guy, Liquid & Unsound Methods is one of the best electro albums ever.
M83 : almost pop, but very good tunes, his remixes are dandy.
Trentmoller : Really cool danish stuff. Kruder & Dorfmeister like.Check out his Reworker/Remixed = €.
The floggings will continue until morale improves.
A bit more whimsical than Shadow, but still worth a listen.

I recently dug this out of the crates and have been listening to it for the past 2 weeks on my drive to/from work:
Lots of great instrumental tracks balanced out with some interesting guest MCs (Masta Ace, J-Zone, Iriscience, Tiye Phoenix...)
I saw DJ shadow back in 2006 I think and I remember literally trying to find stuff 'like DJ Shadow'
The a few years back I saw Chris Menard. (Menart?) from Pretty Lights and the show was awesome. I'd say I listen to Pretty Lights channel at work more then anything. Then Gorillaz, Then Tool, then Bob Marley...
LEMON JELLY were really good during their brief run...
Don't think these cats have been mentioned...
DEATH IN VEGAS
Nice mix of electronic sounds, live instrumentation, and samples on their first few albums.
Used to play this one on repeat all the time:

Dookey. Thx for the bump. This thread resurrected some jams that were in heavy rotation for me in the aughts.
Swear lemon jelly and thievery corporation had a year plus run where the always just 2-3 tracks away. Cheers
