Differnce between super EZ and EZG 60

So, I had a Super EZ, and I sold it. I want another one, if you have one to sell, please PM me. I'm tall, and that boat felt good.

Today I was given the suggestion to get a ezg 60. Guess it's a little narrower, and a little smaller than the super EZ.
Anyone heard anything about these?

Are these boats really similar?

Would the ezg 60 still fit me like the super ez?

Well, the Jackson 4fun or Superfun are both great, depending on which fits.

You could also go with an all out, modern play boat, the best option in my opinion. I think the best ones out at the moment that would fit you are: Project 62, Agent 6.4, Jackson Super Star. If it fits, you could also try for a Vision 56 Bigfoot.

It all depends on if you want to fork over for a new boat or not.

Those and the Funs are the best current play boats in my opinion.

If you hate the Jackson outfitting (which a lot of people do) then try the Liquid Logic CR250. I paddle the 125 (slightly smaller version) and love it.

Kingpin 6.3 would be my reco. I used to have a Big EZ (kinda comparable to the Super EZ) and dig the 6.3 a lot more. Still can run bigger stuff in it and then play. You'll fit in one too.

The other mentions are good too. I just haven't been sold on Jacksons. A lot people say they are the bee's knees though.

Brett, watch out for the WS EZG series.The first year they had problems with the hull/cockpit rim area cracking. Not sure how last year's is holding up.

I'm 6' 165lb, and paddle a Fun. I got it pretty much max'd out, but it's a sweet boat. Can handle up to class IV without too much problem. Not sure if I want to push it beyond that.

I'd go with a Jackson if I was you. You should be able to get into the older 4Fun without too much trouble. I have a buddy who is 6' 2" 195lbs, and he paddles the 4Fun. I'll keep an eye out for you on one of these, but they are tough to find used.
Just keep in mind that the new redesigned '07 Jackson 4Fun is almost 62 gallons and the older 4Fun(along with the '07 Classic Series) are 55 gallons. They'll handle a little differently, but I think the majority of the volume difference is up around the cockpit.

Oh yeah, the Funs are waaaaay comfy.

First of all, what is your height, weight, inseam, shoe, etc? Be careful of any recommendations coming from someone who is not your size. Second, what kind of boat are you looking for- river-play, throwdown boat, etc?

If you are truly Super Ez sized (or just want to be comfortable) then few boats will fit you. It is still one of the only boats I can sit in for hours besides creekers, those monster foot bumps are key.

The EZG is quite a bit smaller, especially in the foot room department. I can get in it but it is not comfy for me (6'4", 36 inseam, 13 foot).

The Funs are comfortable, that is about the only nice thing I can say about them. I can't fit in the 6.3, or the Vision.

I have a Super Ez as well as an Air 60 that is somewhat comfortable. Both boats are for sale if you are interested, but are in Idaho so not too convenient.

My next boat will probably be a Fluid Flirt, never paddled one but it is very comfortable. Trying to get one boat that is comfortable enough for hours on the river but still ok for park and play. The big RAD is really big, too much boat for me.

A superstar just came up on mtnbuzz...and it's close to home.

Would that boat fit me?

So I've been offered a Superstar for $400.

I'm a little skeptical about it's river running ability.

Haven't been able to find a kingpin 6.3.

Should I swoop this thing up or what?

I think the superstar will be a good river runner @190. Its pretty high volume.

I'm 200 and thought it was very stable and it floated really well in big water.

If it's in good shape, $400 is a solid deal for that boat. If you run it a few times and don't like, you could unload it without taking a hit. You'll dig how light and dry Jackson boats are.
