    Powder in June - Chile

Talk about a storm, the base of Termas de Chillan, Chile is covered everywhere! The alpine should be awesome. Rumours are of an early
    opening June 9.

Termas de Chillan always gets UNREAL powder. 4 years ago we got 20ft in the space of 5 days.. and had to wait for them to dig out the chairs. Its a funny thing.. skiing over the top of T-Bars.

    Termas

Well, its may 31 and its defiantly not open.
I am in the area, waiting for it.
They got 25cm at the lodge last night, that should mean close to 60cm up higher.

    Heres to the next SASS.

Jeff that is so cool that you are already there! If you want to go touring, etc... you should stop by the MI Lodge in Shangri -La and look up Bertrand or Jerome.

Hope it opens for you sooner rather than later

June 9th akin to Dec 9th in the Northern, so not that crazy, although it's pretty early, since SA is usually a shorter/later/lighter season

SA season is usually from mid June to early/mid October. Sometimes from late May, depending on the snow. In 2005 El Colorado was open from late May.

Some pics from Valle Nevado, all the pics wre taken in mid June 2006

These are all MYYYYY Lines. Sick eh? When you can have freshies all day, just you...

Termas de Chillan is the shit. Great pow, every year guaranteed. So few skiers, great easy access terrain. It also has the most stunning sunsets I've ever seen.
