Using Simple Green to clean bases?

Anyone recommend AGAINST doing this? I have to clean off some gnarly Cascade pollen buildup...

I've been using it off and on with no noticable negatives, even had comments on the glide I get out of my skis on flats.

Certain of the Bears swear by it. Search their tuning forum.

It won't hurt your bases if used sparingly. I would use Simple Green before using a petroleum based cleaner.
