    Bump.

So this afternoon i'm on my way to a friends house for his birthday bbq when i jokingly make a comment about picking up some lawnchairs at a garage sale for the afternoon. As luck would have it, a family four houses away is having garage sale, and has a stack of plastic lawn chairs for sale. I make a joke about stopping to buy them, but we continue on to the party. Upon entering the back yard I notice there is a serious lack of chairs and run back up the street.

Korean lady at the housetells me "four chairs, two dollah." and I think great. But I don't have a toonie. Just a five. Then I three pairs of skis sitting on the grass and I ask "how much for the skis?" She tells me "$10 for all three." But I only want the grey ones. "Three dollah." Great, $2 for chairs, and $3 for a pair of skis. SO I hand her a crisp five dollah bill and run back down the street with my new purchases.

So what did $3 get me?

But wait, what are those black things?

$3 for those grey skis over there

I just recently found a pair of Koflach Oxygens at the thift store store down the street form my house. They're basically a lace-up hard snowboard boot long discontinued and now you can't get anything quite like it. Think koflach arctis but stiffer with a much higher cuff. Accepts an automatic crampon and as warm and dry as a plastic boot yet can be strapped into a regular snowboard binding.

Stoked. Been looking for a pair for years - ebay, etc. - and lo and behold there's a pair in my size and brand new - still have the little rubber nubbie things on the sole. Can't wait to give em a try next year. We'll see how they ride.

^^^Yeah, since DIN set at 12+no footbeds=toasted knee I wasn't really planning on using these.

I was actually thinking about donating these to our sitskiers on the board.

Neighbors in Golden have a pile of stuff on the street marked "For Free". In the pile was a pair of 170-ish Nordica 9.1MFs with 12-din Solly demo clamps.

Anybody need a father-in-law ski? Anybody want me to grab these?

Got these for $4.00 this morning @ a yard sale. My daughter Eden, 13, is holding them.

Real, old, wooden skis are getting increasingly difficult to find, even in Jackson. Guy said the teleskied in some pow a few years ago on them and they were fine...Attachment 63375

    Non ski related mega score.

Two pairs of headphones in near new condition, looked like good ones.

Get home and google them, one is a $280 pair and the other a $140 pair, I paid a total of $4.
