Just in case you were wondering why "Highway Star" is not posting over on K-Zone anymore.....

.........it seems that one of the moderators (BigKahuna, most likely) did something to my account that causes it to have tons of errors and huge wait times to access the board. It will also not take any new posts....well, it says it does, but they they don't display. Since the board usually runs like crap anyway, it took me a little while to figure it out. There isn't anything wrong with my computer. If I log out from the board it runs fine, there's not anything actually wrong......seemly they just have this feature to screw with people. I'm quite sure that this is what happened to "the disembowler".....they didn't actually ban him, they just made it so he couldn't post anymore.

K-Zone is not a well run message board. They don't play by any rules aside from their own, that they make up on the spot and enforce at their own whims. They don't regulate harrassment of members, except when they feel like it. They have a stated policy of not allowing alias's, yet they let them run wild and harrass other members. They allow dodging of the swear filter, and encourage massive flame wars. If they want to run an unmoderated board, do the right way, like TGR does here........at least they are relatively fair and honest about it. K-Zone is like some middle-school club. I thought I was playing by their rules, but at some point somebody decided to change those rules........

I have no problems with moderated boards, I have been an active poster on epicski for 2-1/2 years, and have managed to not get banned, because I play by the rules. This situation is particularly insulting to me because K-Zone is supposedly some sort of business, and that my posting, wild as it is, has brought them enhanced traffic.

K-zone also has a relationship with Killington, where representives from the mountain post on the board in a specific forum. I think it makes Killington look bad to have an authorized forum on a message board where other people are posting attacks and vulgarity, unmoderated. As someone who was constantly attacked, I had no choice but to counter attack when moderators would not step in. Now that the moderators have gone against me, I will go against them and raise this issue with the new Killington owners. It's highly unprofessional that they have an offical involvement with a message board that is so poorly run and offensive. It makes them look bad.

K-zone should clean up it's act, or Killington may have to drop it's involvement.

Apparently, the technical issue or block has been resolved or removed. I got a generic PM notification in my email.......there was no new PM, but now my account works. Thanks guys for letting me back in!!!! I promise to be a nicer and less annoying guy in the future, but I would also hope that some people would stop provoking me as much.

i doubt your story is true, especially the bigkahuna13 part - HS is probably blaming his own problems on BK13. frankly, i'd be very surprised if anyone there, especially bk13, pulled the trigger on highway star.

now, at least one of the powers that be at k-zone loves his power trips and shouldn't be a moderator.. if anyone did anything to HS, it was him. but he hasn't been publicly involved in HS affairs, so I doubt it. (i'm otherwise not going there.)

anyway, what you're talking about is analogous to frozen doing the same to dankhucker. in fact, frozen did to similar things to highway star - took away a bunch of privileges.

true or not, good riddance. i'm glad he's gone. fuck that guy, he's little more than a pain in the ass.

Original recipe yield: 6 dozen

INGREDIENTS
1 cup white sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup unsalted butter
2 eggs
2 tablespoons milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 1/2 cups rolled oats
3 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a large bowl, cream the butter, brown sugar and white sugar until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Stir in the milk and vanilla. Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt, stir into the creamed mixture. Using a wooden spoon, stir in the rolled oats, chocolate chips and walnuts.
Roll the dough into walnut sized balls, and place 2 inches apart on an unprepared cookie sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven. Cool cookies on wire racks.
