Hey SummitCo 1776
Got your PM, and my response wouldn't fit so here it is:
Um, the rest of you, please correct me if I'm wrong about the professor. Just going from my two trips up there. The second time I skied a more westerly aspect - there's a chute we wanted to ski, but it was getting rotty so we just did the adjacent glades.
I skied the professor last may, sweet corn time. Dunno about the others. The Professor has a rollover at the top with about 200 feet of fun pitched open vert, descending into flatter open vert. The rest is pretty mellow glades or you can come down a big couloir. But that top section initiates slides like a mofo - that's why cdot blasts it all the time. You gotta be very careful about when you ski it. We started from Loveland Pass. It was a really easy hike.
Nobody would ski with you? Do you mean from the forum or your friends in SC? I can tell you right now that nobody from the forum will ski backcountry with you until they know you and have skied with you in-area. There's a lot of trust that has to be established first.
I live in Blue River, but have hung out in CC a lot too. Got friends there and I've skied Sniktau, Torrey's, Mt Evans, the back side of SFB, and a couple different mountains up Dry Gulch.
