    Hellgate Cliffs Slide Pics

So I was taking off a little bit early from Alta yesterday, main road was closed, so we diverted down the bypass. I had my camera up with me to snap a few pictures when we came across a bunch of people standing around. Well, nothing draws a crowd like a crowd, so we stopped.

Seems that the Hellgate was about to be Ski BASEd by one of our locals from the town. Off of this:

Anyway, not really the point of this thread. I do however wish him the best as he attempts a pretty cool stunt. Hopefully conditions will allow this to take place soon.

While kind of standing around, talking to strangers I caught a glimpse of this slide coming down:

Was one of the loudest slide I've heard in a long time. It caught a couple of hundred feet of air when it went off the cliff band and echos thundered around the canyon. Anybody who's been up LCC durning a thunderstorm has an idea.

    Some cool shots I thought.

Also, grabbed a pic of this one off the side of Superior or whatever this little knob is called. Notice the skier cuts at the top of it, somebody loaded their drawers/garmets:

Yea, the warm weather really heated things up in the Wasatch yesterday, and things got interesting!

And that guy that backed out yesterday fucking nailed the BASE jump today - right down the gut (to paraphrase Cross). One of the ballsiest things I've ever seen...

    Thumbs up

    Very cool pics. Nice timing.
I want a 6" travel 20lb MTB. I found the 20lb MTB, but only good for riders under 87 pounds.
