    edit: that'd be Friday 4/13
I'll be there with a couple folks who haven't ridden there.

Friday is slated for Slickroack/Sovereign double header. Saturday Amasa back full-meal deal. Even though I've ridden them plenty of times, I don't get bored on them. And being on the stuff with someone who's never ridden out there will still be kick ass. I figure to take lots of pics.

    Hmmm

Pretty much the only two things in my life I had actually 'planned'
After the past few ski days of super mank I'm semi-officially in bike mode right now. I'm planning on killing myself today on a nice little jaunt up Mt. Wilson in Pasadena. My altitude training (aka. drinking) should allow me to fly up the 4-5k foot climb.

Soooo depending on how my job search goes the next couple of weeks, can I tag along too? I was gonna skip the mini for the Wood's closing weekend; but right now, Moab sounds better than either of those options.

scrub - thanks for the heads-up...I'm not a fan of slickrock but I'd hit sovereign, haven't tried that before. but if I do Moab I'll probably hit a Porc. shuttle first thing in the a.m.

arty - have fun with wilson, I rode that last year...it's a realllly fun trail. there's some serious exposure on parts of it. the dirt road climb on the other hand...ugh! for a shorter, more manageable loop, you can hit el prieto, which starts just a mile or two north of the wilson trailhead/parking lot at JPL. I rode 2 loops on it in one ride last year, super fun little trail. Which of course, you can actually tack on to the end of a Wilson ride if you've got the legs.

I'm 90% out for the last w/e in April. I'm gonna try to squeeze in a trip this w/e as it's probably my last opportunity until fall.
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

    Dangit!! You will be missed.

I'll be up in Orem the week after Moab so we'll have to go up and have a good I st session, or, gulp, maybe even Tanner.

that'll probably be our sunday deal. schedule muteable. some folks that haven't ridden there at all are along, so slickrock is sorta' needed.

    sovereign is just fast fun.

Don't get me wrong - I have a lot of fun just playing around out there, dorking around looking for drops and fun lines on the practice loop, etc. But I did the full loop once and while it was a good experience, and beautiful out there, I just didn't really like the riding. Straight up, straight down, very little flow...it just doesn't do it for me. Kinda like how I did the entire Porcupine loop once, and once is enough <shudder>...

Thanks to time constraints, I had to bail on Wilson. No one to shuttle with and the climb would have taken wayyyy too long. So I hit up El Prieto instead. Dammmmmmnnnnn!!! WTF happened to that trail? That was actually the first mountain bike trail I ever rode and I don't remember it being nearly that awesome. A lot has happened in the past 2-3 years. There are a bunch of options on it now and it seems way more challenging. Lots of fun little rock gardens and some nice little jumps/drops too. I was expecting an easy little ride down and instead left with a nice trickle of blood running down my leg. To the guys who put all of that work into the trail...

So...it's confirmed. I'm heading down to Moab this weekend. Going to take my little sis. It will be her first time riding Moab. She only has a very old rigid mt. bike. I'm thinking I need to rent her a full suspension. Anyone want to ride with us?

Yes. Otter and I want to take pics out at Bartlett. So you and kidwoo are needed for some meat chuckage. I'd say Saturday early morn until whenever.

I'll be working Saturday, but can most likely ride on Sunday. Definitely get in contact with me before coming down.

I'm in Mexico right now, but will be back in Moab by Sunday night, possibly as early as Saturday night, so smoesmith or anyone else riding this weekend, pm me and I'll figure out my schedule. Stoked to ride with everyone at the end of the month too.
