    Ski Boot Advice Needed

I need some help finding a pair of boots. I am from Texas, so I am not able to find boots in town. Furthermore, I would like order my boots now, at the end of the season, while they are less expensive (I am on a student budget as well). I wear a 29 (size 12 normally), and I am able to ski most of the stuff on the mountain. I need a advanced skiers boot that will serve me especially well in powder...I do not spend much time in the terrain park. Does anybody have any suggestions? I really do not care if the boot is from a late model year...

I'm not sure what else I can give you...male, normal feet dimensions...I may be going to college in the northeast next year, where I would get a lot of skiing in. but otherwise I have done all my skiing in Utah, where I am still working on my powder skills. hope that helps.

Wait until you go to Utah again before you buy new boots. You absolutely HAVE to try them on first.

Yeah, each last is different. Agreed on the Dobie 130 if you are actually an advanced skier.

then go buy online the cheapest pair of boots that you can find in size 29.

then, when you have problems with the boots (as they are not the right width, flex, shape, length, or a host of other things) go see a boot fitter in UT and hopefully they can get the boots fixed right for you. That shouldn't cost more then what you "saved" by not seeing a bootfitter first.

really, wait until you GET to UT, then shop. No one is going to sell much of last years between now and then, prices will be about the same, and you can get it done right, once..

usually a size 12 foot fits a much smaller boot then a 29. too

    joking about the doberman 130.

if you wnat a good boot and don't want to put time into boot fitting and such, find a few model year old xwave 8, 9 or 10.

as far as size, you might look at a 28 or 28.5 (same size shell). 29 is def. an intermediate fit for a size 12 foot.
