Why do I have to have allergies? Can't seem to figure that one out. And....why can't some pharmaceutical scientist come up with a drug that actually works and doesn't know you out?

    Sorry for bitching.

Wow! There's a drug that can "know you out"! Who knew science had come so far. That's better than an allergy pill or other medication any day, with the potential to change the course of humanity as we know it. Perhaps we should prescribe that to all the aliases on this board.

That's one of the best typos I've seen in a while!

Didn't mean to bag on ya. Just found it amusing. I study language processing and am fascinated by the kind of tricks our brain can play on us during language production. We all make these kinds of errors and there are tons of examples on this board. That malaproprism was particularly interesting due to how the substituted word altered the meaning, especially since you were trying to make the point about the drug "knocking" you out! It clearly prevented you from functioning at full capacity and caused the error. Hope you're feeling better today!

My fur child chillin in a meadow at the tree line.

Home sweet home below the tree line

My little brother somewhere on the trail.

Treeline lake I took a bath in...yes, there is still snow around it, and FUUUUUCK was it cold.

Shmoe! I barely spoke to you the other night. I think we had a brief conversation about beer and then you were gone. It was nice to meet you, however briefly.

To be honest, it was a rather weird situation meeting all of these people who I 'knew' but didn't know their real names (or what they looked like). I found I was un-characteristically shy (until Skiguide handed me a pomegranite mojito!).
Monty Python's version of the cougar phenomenon:
"This is a frightened city. Over these houses, over these streets hangs a pall of fear. Fear of a new kind of violence which is terrorizing the city. Yes, gangs of old ladies attacking defenseless, fit young men".

Yeah, I felt much more shy being sober at that party....probably a good thing considering the party before that. Don't feel wierd about not knowing names. I've been going to the utard's parties for a couple of seasons now and still don't know everyone's name LOL. It was good meeting you though! Next time you need to bring Roo along You two ARE the reason I am on this board you know

Or maybe said friend is just a little more fucked up than you realized. Doesn't necessarily make it easier, but it does leave the door open. At least potentially.

Apparent remorselessness can also just be someone being really fucking scared and guilty. I'm not saying that you should go have a good mutual cry and conclude with a "BFF!", or that you should ever want to even see this person again -- just that maybe the friendship really was real, even if it's now irretrievable.

Regardless, vibes. Sounds like you had a real shitty time of it these past few days. That kind of thing can really shake your world.
