    I call bullshit. Straight up and strained.

    Any drink cooled to near the freezing point masks its true flavors, intentionally or not. Blended margs suck not because of metaphysical bruising and whatnot, but because there's maximum surface area, and therefore maximum melting interface, between the ice and the drink, and because every sip includes ice. Rocks suck less, but they still tend to be used to hide the fact that the drink is not entirely palatable on its own.

    This, incidentally, is also why you don't drink white wine straight out of the fridge.
