Thanks for showing me the trails and to everyone who drove. Me had fun, and 8 bikes and 9 people in one shuttling rig was impressive.

Yep, Shoreline is great right now and this weather is perfect for riding! Glenwild across from the Kimball JCT Park City exit is good to go too. Any one been on Pipeline in Millcreek yet? I want to ride it tonight.
AND remember this Saturday the 19th is like super bike day in Salt Lake City. Lots going on during the day and then the 4th Annual Pedal Pusher Film Festival at the Depot in the evening - featuring world class films from the Internationally reknowned Bicycle Film Festival. Bikes, Bikes and movies about bikes and beer! what could be better?
Pipeline is in great shape.
Anybody been up to either side of Mormon Trail yet?
Sweat Particle. Looking forward to the review. Work friends and I were going to hit that tomorrow after work.
Was a fun ride. We took a really mellow pace and finished in about 2.5 hours. No idea on the mileage but I'm guessing somewhere around 13-15 miles for the full loop from the spring creek trailhead? The trail is in great shape. Needs more riders to smooth it out but I was riding my 7" ASX so I didn't really notice the irregularities
I'll post up a new thread with some pics.
Otter took me and 3 of our buddies to Jacob's ladder in Draper last night. That is very fun trail. It is in fine shape except for one small section where horses left their marks when it was muddy. Other than that very small section, the trail was smooth and in great shape. If you haven't ridden this trail (mandatory climb to the top, then DH from there) give 'er a go. Starts off open on the ridge. Then you get down in the trees where it gets really tight and windy. Then it opens up again. Make sure you ride with someone who knows the trail or you may miss a few of the turn offs and forks. Fun trail - great shape.

You really need someone to show you the way to the trail head. There are so many roads you can get lost on and different trails that go to who knows where. If you want I would be interested in hitting it up again in a few days.
As someone who has hiked the Jacob's Ladder trail a bit and never really thought about riding down it till now. It is the most common approach for people going up Lone Peak, so while one day there may be nobody, other days many people are hiking up this and probably not expecting fast bikers. They may also be carrying a heavy pack of climbing gear and not be very agile. Just a little FYI.
FYI, There are only a few hundred yards of the hiking trail that you actually ride on. then you bank a hard left into the trees. to a single track. I have never seen a hiker on this trail. The single track is smoooth and buffed out. Also, There have been some bussy bees at work. A few smaller hits have developed since last year. Hips actually.
Or a map
I live down that way and I'm in the process of GPS'ing a lot of the trails down on the south bench. There is a bunch of sweet "undiscovered" single track hidden in the surban sprawl (that I'm a part of). I should have everything done before too long. We rode Clarks trail Sunday. Here's part of the track file (I erased it 1/2 way up. D'oh!!!)
EDIT: It looks like some of the ride snapped to the road, but it should follow the Bonneville Shoreline trail....
This is the worst pain EVER!
Mid-Mountain madness: Today, I did holly's to Ambush to MMT to Holly's. It's 95% ready. Mostly dry. Only two very small snow drifts between Ambush and Holly's DH. I'd say that it will be 100% ready, and in excellent shape, by next weekend. Let the fun begin.
If anyone is riding the MMT and ending at The Canyons, give me a shout. I will treat you to a beer and swim.
AC and DTM, this goes especially for you. I have a small HW gift for you that I was unable to deliver at the recent festivities.

"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, "Wow, what a Ride!"
Once again, Otter showed me to a new trail. Mueller Park is $. Very smooth single track with smooth dark dirt and great turns. The greenery in very thick and lush. It even has a short little DH spur with a few small stunts to get silly on. Otter and I tested are new rigs on some ladder jumps at the bottom. Otter was really sending it. Then for my second time ever jumping a bike, I decided instead of riding up a ladder and across the bridge part... I would jump the ladder and clear the bridge part. Landed and slipped a pedal... butt to tire... gut to seat... somehow bounced back up and rode it out... Good times on a good trail with a good friend. Give Mueller Park a shot.
