you sound like a bitter bear. Ski a technical line on the venue next time and you will score better than the dude who sent one air big. They want to see that you can ski not just take off and land. Also, did you ski exposure at the top? I've done a few comps out west and they won't reward those who do one big drop. ski a double or triple stager next time even if that means traversing at speed to the next feature. That will score you big as long as you ski fast, well, and stomp your airs. What looks good for 3 seconds on camera won't score you big in a freeride comp.
The guy who won it a couple years ago threw a front flip off the big huck at the beginning, made about ten decent turns after that and took home first place.
