I have half heartedly decided that this Summit's thread should actually BE the Mountaineering thread! I realized that they don't have one and that is kind of FlatLander-ist. Maybe Call that one Mountain Earing.
And summits of people can sometimes lead to summiting mountains. It happens...

So, if the "Summits" thread is really all about hooking up then it stands to reason that the "Hook Up" thread is about FULL BLOWN AIDS!!!!!!!!

Seriously though, who was fucking dumb enough to name the meetup forum "summits" on this forum and then get mad when people post about summiting?
Fucking internet retards.

So, like, I keep seeing these bumper stickers that says "Cheney skis in jeans". But when I saw ol' Dick at the Summit (the one where George was holding hands with some sheik) he was wearing diplomatic garb and looked like a striped pants cookie pusher.
What gives?

I hooked up with a bunch of people on the summit of Rainier last summer (14,411 no big deal). Does that count? BTW my pack only weighed 10# with water and I was wearing a Suunto Core watch. And I caught AIDS cuz I 'm a dick.

What Moose Pit said here, sort of.
There were two sizable gatherings (and a third smaller, but still significant) in the PNW this season, both with solid regional attendance.
They just weren't called summits, and they were posted in ski/snowboard (which sort of validates the above statement by leroy).
