Max, you and I have been skiing for about the same amount of time. Here's my ski injury list:

    1)Scratches from trees
    2)Sore elbow from crashing

Chill out man. One n00b to another.

Strangely enough, that is the same line (if not something extremely similar) that texan and I skied this morning, and I believe that may have been the last time I skied with Blurred...

Wonder how many people here are reluctant to ski with me due to my obvious breakability...

good thing you were wearing a helmet.

Max, large balls to brain ratios only work when you skied downhill in the olympics.

He will. And if you make one little mistake of slip up technically, like say, dropping a hand, he will publicly ridicule you. You've gotta be ready. When you know, you know. If there's a shred of doubt, you're not ready.

yeah, see, i've been known to drop a hand (in the technical skiing sense, not some perverted thing others will undoubtedly think of) whilst skiing. i'm not worthy and i know it.

good thing is, last weekend i was told why i was dropping hands and how i can fix it, so i'm on my path to redemption.

that said, i still won't let blurred take me to a death cookie sale off a cornice

edit: but it's not about me, so sorry for the selfish threadjack.

Dude, seriously. Nobody cares if you're a shitty or breakable skier. I think a lot more people might be reluctant to ski with you because you appear to be the biggest moron in the known universe.

Ya see, people, that is why I snowboard. I can rub one out whilst IN the ecstatic schralp, which is MUCH harder to 'pull off' with ski poles.

    Or some shit like that.

I need to ski some bumps and get used to turning to scrub speed instead of turning up the hill (have the same problem there, too).
Wow what a story. Max, that sounds like one hell of a way to benchmark what level of huck you can't handle the exit of. I've also found myself in that shitty place (continuous uphill turn, sometimes a spin out) after going a little too big, a little too hot. It can be hard mentally and physically to commit to and pull off that transition turn back to the fall line when you're cooking. Strength and practice will take care of that eventually. But to hit something that you can't even start a turn out of seems pretty crazy. From the sounds of Blurred's story, if you intended to straightline, then you must be truely crazy

You've heard it many times before man. Bring it back a notch or two, you've got all your life to shred at progressively higher levels if you're smart. Hopefully, it sinks in that you almost got killed today and make a genuine change in how you approach your skiing progression. Feel better man
