    tech question??

How do you get that little picture under your name, and for that matter, how do you change your member status to something stoopid?

    I have a Mac, 10.2.

ak monkey has you covered for how to change your avatar, but I am still having problems changing my status. Endless said you can customize it after a certain number of posts by going to [user cp] --> edit profile) , but someone who has less posts than me has changed it and I still can't, so I don't know.

Hmmmm....I think I've got it, but, as always, size matters, so it's back to work. Thanx.

jibig, I envy your little, umm avatar (from Websters: "a : an incarnation in human form b : an embodiment (as of a concept or philosophy) often in a person"). But it doesn't have the magenta ski bottoms.

Sincerely, thanx much, but I am not deserving. That one is you. I'll go steal my alter ego from the web.

I am sofa king we todd did!

So I would like to use one of my own photos for my avatar, but I've been unable to shrink my photos down to 50x50 pixels, I've tried opening the photo from "my photos" with Paint and changing the size to 50x50. Judging from my results it appears that is not how its done. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

I will do that if I can. I've read some of the "how to post" threads over at pmag. Is there a way to upload pictures directly to this sight or do I need to upload to biglines? To me (not so computer savy) it seems that I should be able to cut and paste photos. Or can I just upload photos in house say from an email account or something like that? Sorry for lame and redundant questions but again, I am sofa king we todd did.

Upload it to biglines then post it here. Use the image button and copy-paste the URL file name. http://www.biglines.com/yourimage.jpg or whatever the image extension is.(gif, bmp)

As for changing your status title. The instructions are in the FAQ. After reading it, I still couldn't see the field in my profile. I PMed Owens and he said there's a glitch - some people can see it and others can't . He's working on it though.

You can attache a photo to your post - right below the window where you type in your messae, there is a function to attach a file.

    Thanks Owens,
You've got a nice place here.

Dammit, tried it. Used the "attach file" box below message typing area as you said. Message Board -3
