Go on epicski.com PM user "Bob Peters" he works out of Jackson Hole Mountain school.
Many Maggots can vouch for this guy. One of the best skier you will ever meet and I hear a great guide.
If I'm ever in a situation where I need to hire a private guide in JH again, I'd go with Glenn Vitucci again in a heartbeat. Nice guy, uber layed back.

Where do you want to go?
If you're looking for lift-served skiing, you pretty much have to go through JHMR. They have guides, who can take you into the sidecountry to the south of the resort, and instructors, who are limited to skiing in-bounds.
ALL of their guides are great fun to ski with, know the terrain, and will find you good snow. You really can't go wrong with any of them, and I'd have a hard time recommending one over any other. I've skied with almost all of them.
Bob Peters used to be a guide, but I believe he is an instructor these days. He posts a lot on Epic Ski, so you can find him there. He is a great guy as well, and may be willing to show you around the hill if he's not working.
If you're more interested in self-propelled touring, I can also recommend Wes Bunch & Eric Henderson, in addition to Glenn Vitucci on the "skithetetons" link above. Exum Mountain Guides and Jackson Hole Mountain Guides also do backcountry ski guiding.
I've toured a bunch with Tom Turiano, who guides for JHMR and for Exum. He has a fairly encyclopedic knowledge of the mountains around Jackson Hole and is always a great guy to go out with.
Are you looking for a guide at the Village? If so, I would ask for Eric Henderson- sunny disposition and more-than-qualified.
Yup. He worked many years as a guide there. Now teaching w/ the ski school. As an instructor he can't take you OB (last I knew). But he knows every inch of the mountain if you want the inbounds guiding thing. PM him at epic &/or call the ski school and ask to book him for a private - and then use him as an inbounds guide (and I think that still gets you up early). He can also help you with what to ask for on the guide end if you want to go OB. I've known Bob for several years and I'll add my voice to the "he's a great guy" chorus.
Dave Miller is awesome guy and a great JHMR guide.
Call JHMR and reserve Mikey Franco - he is an AASI examiner and been riding Jackson for at leat 15 years. I have ridden with him, and so have a bunch of my friend, everyone has had rave reviews.
if you are looking to ski bc in the tetons, cant do better than Turiano. he wrote the book on teton touring.

Just like the suit said, I am sure all the JHMR guides are good.
I've skied with and had fun with all of these guys.

Thanks for the info fellas. We contacted Bob Peters and he replied in less then 12 hours. Impressive to say the least.
We'll get in on Monday night and be in Jackson until Saturday morning. Would be cool to hook up with some folks while we are there.
Cheers.
