I'm hoping to find a weight comparison between the 179 and 186. Or just anecdotal comparisons to other skis.

Why is it generally so hard to find actual weights at all for a ski? It's especially hard to find a weight for a specific length.

Skis vary a lot in weight; applying resin is done quickly and by hand and it's hard to get the same amount on each ski. Weights of two skis in a "pair" are often 20-40 grams different.

Ski makers like to err on the light side, so they round down.

Most people don't take the time to weigh a model in every length.

evo has a good chart here: http://www.evo.com/ski-weight-chart-...ntry-skis.aspx - but they only weigh what actually comes in to their brick and mortar store, and much of the inventory is in a warehouse miles away.

I've pulled as much as I can from mfr websites and created an interactive table with weights, dimensions, and more. I'd like to update it with figures measured by unbiased people. I'm using the closest size to 180cm for men's and 170cm for women's. I'll update ASAP if people want to submit weights or changes. Ski Specs in Table Format

K2 Pinnacle 105 length 177 weighs 3863 grams / pair without bindings

That's interesting to me because my recently purchased K2 Annex 108 in a 177 weighs 3912 grams for the pair (sans plastic wrap), so almost as light as the Pinnacle 105.

Amazed at how heavy some of these skis are and also surprised that the Blizzard Bonafides weren't mentioned yet so I had to research on other sites and found that the 187's weigh 2332 from the tables on evo's site which is pretty comprehensive and sorted via year of production

I just ordered a pair of J-Skis ALLPLAY 98mm waist at a 171cm length. They weigh 3,720 grams, or 1,860 per ski.

Is 1,860 grams per ski considered light or average weight for a ski that size?
