PC Question- PC Relocator

I just got a new computer to replace my old laptop. I have the installation CDs for most of the software that I care about so I can reinstall them on the new computer. However, I don't have the CDs for MS Office XP. Has anybody ever used the PC Relocator program to transfer programs from one computer to another? I am just wondering if it is worth the 60 bucks or am I not going to be able to transfer Office to the new computer. Any other ideas from you mags that are way smarter than me (a high percentage I am sure)?

I just transferred files from my old home PC to a new desktop. Wound up doing it manually; royal PITA.

But wound up receiving it 3 weeks after I moved all the software, manually. (Slow shipping.) So if you want the Laplink PCmover software, new in box (sealed), I'll sell you mine for $15 + shipping. Apparently it comes with a USB direct-connection cable too, in order to wire the PCs together.

I'm tempted and for 15-20 bucks it is worth a shot. But I looked up the reviews and almost everybody said that particular product sucks. But maybe it will work well enough for me. All I want to do is move office over and then a bunch of mp3's. Anybody have any experience using a product like this?
