    giro omen?

searched, didnt find anything. since mags are usually pretty with it on the headgear wondering if anyone has tried this?
coming from a nine, have never liked the fit of the fuse.

yes, a follow up to my post about the smith helmet.

I've got the nine as well and although I haven't skied with the Omen trying it on in the shop it felt similar to the nine. Definately not the same mold as the fuse - which didn't fit well.

    Thinking about ordering an Omen.

it feels a little heavier. also it has that wacky cyborg look. seems like it would work best for a big face.

Fuse and G10 = oval head.

9.Nine (and Omen?) = rounder head.

    Any thoughts?

I've been running one for the last couple of weeks. I used to be in the G10mx for the past 2 years. I have been digging the Omen big time. It is definitely a little heavier but it isn't noticeable when you are riding around in it. I have been pretty stoked on all the vents and the adjustment in the back. The helmet can fit anyone perfectly with that little roll adjustment. I haven't put the Bluetooth things in yet because I am into the look. Pretty sick helmet overall.

I got an omen a couple weeks ago, and have skied on it a few times.

The fit is better than any helmet I have tried before, you can really dial it in perfectly to your size/shape of head. Like ubertele says, the vents are sick as well.

Smith will also be going to a adjustable helmet system for next year. I haven't seen any others yet but I imagine that most companies will move that direction

are you saying that's your speculation? or asking others to confirm it or whatever?

    because this'll help me

i've tried on a g10 in a medium, large, and xl. the medium fit pretty well, the large fit almost perfectly, and the xl was way too big (is it really that huge of a jump in size from large to xl for g10s?). i also tried the 9.9 large and xl, the large put weird pressure points on my head and the xl fit almost as nice as the g10 in large. so what you said might be the reason why.

I can confirm that my oval melon fits a Fuse or G10 better than 9.9 which seems to fit better to rounder melons (although nothing like a Poc which only fits Chupa Chups heads).

Regarding the Omen, I've never tried this model but it seems that due to the new knob adjusting feature at the back of the head this model its highly adjustable and fits most melon shapes well.

that's weird, because i always thought the fuse was rounder than the g10. i could be wrong.
