Colo round 3 in 3 - How much you got/get?

Round three in as many weeks.

With all the hype during rounds 1 and two I thought there'd be more today. After all, this one seems to be hittin' the hills instead of the plains. I guess folks are still smarting from the last couple rounds of battling to get to the hills in search of the deep and aren't paying attention to this storm (or what?). I see the flow being much better this time for the hills.

The areas are updating the reports from this AM and some of the results look much better than the last miss.

Like this: Monarch was reporting 4" this AM and now is at 14"

And here in the valley that almost never sees snow 'til spring (but has seen a few feet in the past few weeks) I just shoveled another 4" for the third time today - that's 'bout an inch an hour since sunup so far.

Up next for me it's Monarch in the AM and then I'll mosey on down over Red Mtn. pass to Silverton for what may be more to come Sat. nite.

If I was an ice(less) coaster I'd be mighty tempted to flip an uncle ben or two for the (discounted BTW) airfare to the rockies for a few.

Soooo, Snows lookin' good. What yous got/gettin'?

10 inches here in the PRB on my deck.

The roads sucked around town today, but tomorrow should be good on the front range BC. Hopefully the gaggle of mags left something at Loveland for us cube dwellers.

Keep it coming! I just bought a plane ticket for the first weekend in February. $250 round-trip for a non-stop flight from Boston to Denver.

    Hell yeah!

yeah - a foot of new at Vail Pass today

Winds weren't too high yet, but the visibility was a bit dodgy. Didn't see any new avalanche activity, but I won't be surprised to see some this weekend.

About a foot at Snowmass AND HAVE YOU SEEN THE 6-10 AND 8-14 DAY FORECASTS[anti-jixnx], even though I will be at school in Chicago

Can the Front Range really handle anymore HUDGE snowstorms?

And where is that forecaster who said that CO wasn't going to get any snow?!

14 here at my house this morning making a total of 64 in three storms. Skied above NCAR in deep powder this afternoon. This is a real winter!

I boiled my thermometer, and sure enough, this spot, which purported to be two thousand feet higher than the locality of the hotel, turned out to be nine thousand feet LOWER. Thus the fact was clearly demonstrated that, ABOVE A CERTAIN POINT, THE HIGHER A POINT SEEMS TO BE, THE LOWER IT ACTUALLY IS. Our ascent itself was a great achievement, but this contribution to science was an inconceivably greater matter.

8" reported in the boat. My report = 8-12"... When it dumps like it was coming down last night you expect there to be 3 times what the report is, but they were pretty right on, even in the north facing bc that usually gets hammered.
