    Two Day TR From Bridger

Woke up a little late on Friday, and got to Bridger at 10. WorkinForTurns, and I saw that the ridge was open so we went out to Hidden. Conditions were ok,
more tracks then I thought. The Apron was nice as usual.

We spent Friday night trimming skins and fitting trekkers, for a Slushman's hike on Sat. This was our first time with an AT setup. Things went well, WorkinForTurns skied the nice open chute on the right and I skied the chute on the left.

    Our Line

    Tracks

The first video is WorkinForTurns in the main chute. The second shows a little straight line just below where I was filming the first. Linking these two lines together is great. After the straight line its an open gully full of pow.

Did you dig a pit? I saw you guys touring from fingers and all the windloaded snow would sketch me out. There is a pretty nasty layer about two feet down in the bridgers.

Nice pics and lines. We'll be hitting some lower angle stuff on Slushman's soon, hopefully those weak layers consolidate. Be careful.

We just lost another snowmobiler down at Lionhead

I saw that a small slide was released in the avy report this morning. I was wondering if this was who it was when I opened the thread.

Being an armchair quarter back I'm pretty sketched by the conditions. I haven't been out in the BC yet, but i'd like to check out the snow first hand.

FZ and work, did you guys park in A-lot? I think I saw you guys at your car... I recognize the change for a nickel sticker. And also, FZ, on some powder day last year did you do deviated septum with Tom Jungst?

You should be. I haven't been in the bridgers lately, but was touring near hebgen on friday and found very very unstable snow. Avy report has it pretty well nailed. We were getting severe whoomping/collapsing on the way up on low angle slopes(<30) and our pit showed a couple of very nasty layers. Got CT scores of less than 10 and Q1 shears. Saw pretty much the same conditions on Ellis yesterday except slighty better compression tests. We also saw a small avy in one of the gullies on the way out of the burn. Be careful out there!

    FKNA!

Looks like you guys are finally getting some more snow. A freind called me to tell me he was jealous of the colorado blizzards (I didn't tell him aspen got nada) which made me think that montana was still just as dry.

Glad to see they'll be something to ski when I get back .

I was skiing with him that day. I recognized you at your car. I think I spotted a cliff on the nasal cavity for one of your buddies.
