So I applied to Alta yesterday and today I got a call back from Alf's asking to set up an onsite interview... Does anybody have any experiences (positive or negative) with working there? Any help would be appreciated. peace

If you are going to act like a holier-then-thou,-i-only-smoke-the-kindest-weed kind of brah, then Alf's would be perfect for you.
still lost. elaborate a little maybe?
Alta kicks ass, take the job, even if you don't like it, it will at least get you up there and can lead to other opportunities.![]()
i worked at watson's (the other midmountain lodge at alta) and it was really pretty sweet and the hours were perfect for skiing, but the pay sucked, but overall it was a really tight job, and i alfs has a bunch of onsite lodgeing, so you could possibly be living mid mountain which has it pros and cons
I worked there 2 seasons ago when Alta got over 700 inches. My experience was very positive and very negative. Living at mid mountain is cool but it can drive you to excessive drinking and drug usage. The plus side is that you get to be first on the lifts in the morning which is definitely awesome. Lots of cool people up there, and you get to eat as much food as your stomach can handle. My skiing skills improved dramatically as well as my tolerance for Jim Beam. I got on the bossmans badside unfortunately and got canned for drinking on the job in Feb. I was a little immature back then so I guess I understand why he did it, even though everyone drank in the dish pit. The money sucks, unless they upped the wages you can expect to make between 450-550 a month for full time hours. They take about 360 a month outta your check for living/food. All in all I had a blast and I highly recommend it. Tell Sean that Danimal said whats up. Errr, maybe not, I dont wanna be the reason you didnt get the job.
My cousin worked there a few years back.
He seemed to enjoy it - although the quarters are quite close - with6 guys per room or something crazy like that.
They're calling you back now? Take the fuckin' job when they offer it. Somebody already backed out.
Fightin' to save the motherfucking day...
