Just wondering how they compare. I love my explosivs but was considering a pair of the smaller squads (174). I a small skier, about 130-135 pounds but expert, and i heard the 174 weren't quiet as burly as the bigger squads.

what size explosivs are you skiing now?
got the #2 in 165 and a cmh in 173, i likem both, 173 for big days
explosivs measure longer than they really are.
180s are generally about the same size a 176ish ski.
My gf has the 173s and they are roughly the same length as her 167 k2s.
The 174 will be more ski length wise, but i imagine if you like the explosiv youd like the squad in a 174. Ive never been on a squad, but i bet theyd be fun.
if you like the explosivs, another option to consider is a 176 LP
yeah i just heard that the lp started comin out it the shorter length. do those tend to ski true to size. i heard they are not so stiff, prob ski more casually then the squad?
i cant really comment other than the following.
my 186 LPs from last year feel stiffer than my explsoivs.
I havent yet skied them so I cant comment on how they compare.
I have also heard that the new LPs, are now a bit softer.
if I had to speculate, I would guess that the LP would be easier to ski more casually than the squad due to its narrower waist, softer flex?, and a slightly twinned tail.
something to keep in mind is that they also make a womens squad ski if you're a chick.
thanks for the advice, should def help me make up my mind
