Van. mags: got a 30 L or 1800 ci backpack I can borrow?

So I'm doing my Avy course this weekend and I spoke to CWMS and they highly recommend a minimum size 30 L pack since we'll be out the whole day and might want extra layers, lunch, all the gear, etc...

The pack I have bought is for shorter tours and is max 1500 ci, so if anyone is not going touring this weekend or has an extra pack (min 30L) that I could borrow, you'd get a case of beer as a thank you!

Also, I called MEC and they don't rent out tour backpacks.
If you can suggest a place to rent that would be a good option also.

    Thanx.

    Two options.

Buy the BD Cover at MEC, use it this weekend then take it back. Take advantage of the great return policy at MEC.

Or buy something like ththis or this. Both cheap and light with many practical uses aside from a day touring pack. I have one of the Alpinelite packs and could probably do a three day hut trip out of it if I packed right.

Just dress warm. During my avy course I fit everything just fine in my 1200 ish dakine heli pro. Lunch, water, etc. With plenty of room for extra layers. Your toes get cold from climbing around in the snow, but if you have intuition liners you should be fine.

get a fanny pack, preferably in neon pink for that retro look...
Our world is full of surrender at the first sign of adversity, do not give up when the challenge meets you, meet the challenge. Through perseverance comes the rewards, the rewards that make life so enjoyable.

I have a 50L backpack you could borrow, actually it might be 60L. It's prob a bit big but you can borrow it if you get stuck.

I got a 40 or 50L Serratus pack that cinches up nicely to any size you want, I've never toured with it before but for backpacking it seems decent.

It's all yours of you want it (temporarily).
