Cypress Mountain, BC pics

Took advantage of my Crystal Mountain pass and got a free ticket to Cypress Mountain last Saturday. Not a bad place for being only 30 min from a major city. Cypress will be hosting the bumps and the snowboarding at the 2010 Olympics. Crystal/Big Sky/Brighton folks: anyone ever consider buying a cheap Cypress season's pass just to get the 10 free days at the other Boyne resorts? I'm really tempted to give it a try next season. Flying solo so no skiing pics.

What always strikes me about coastal BC is just how ugly it is. Skiing next to an ocean inlet with views of glaciated peaks everywhere, accessed easily from a hip metro locale. Ick.

Nice shots. Too bad you didn't have a clear day, because the view of mt Baker to the SE is incredible some days. One time when I worked there many moons ago, it was so clear you could just make out Mt Rainier in the distance. I'm not sure of the exact distance but it has to be over 100 miles. Think that was a one time offer.
