The shit I miss home thread.

Today I went skiing for the first time in the new season. The dawn of the second season away from home, and while I like my new home and I'm really not that far from my old home, I cherish the memories I made in my years growing up. My friends and I can sit and talk about the storm of '01 or the great powder stash we found on the cold day the race was canceled. Or the first time we tried telemarking or fat skis. Anyway here are some of the beset memories of my life:

maybe I'm just freaked out about getting older as I approach my quarter life crisis year, maybe I just don't want to let go of my past but my past was so good. Lets see some of your memories of your home mountain.

and a decent picture to close

yeah, get serious. you've already skied. lots in the working world cant say that. its just going to be harder to be able to ski if you go the wife+kids+9 to 5 job route. appreciate that fact that you can still ski according to your own schedule.

my advice. go to grad. school and become a college prof. thats your best shot at remaining an avid skier.

Fatrick, you are turning 25 this year?! Jeez. Only a year apart and yet I feel light years older than you.

And suggestions of Fatrick getting laid conjure this image in my head:

For some reason, I think this little fucker thinks his quarter life crisis is when he turns 20.

Given the fact that the average life expectancy for a white male living in Alaska is about 73 years, I think he should be well into his crisis by now.

Life doesn't even begin until your 30.
Up till then, your entire life experience is just another boring "one time...in band camp..." story.

That's it. Enough. I have heard enough about this fish squeezing nonsense, and yet I don't know the source of the joke. Could someone be so kind as to help me out, please? Thread linky?

And monkeyman, this is decent nostalgia, but you should have learned from my experiences here that TGR IS NOT THE PLACE FOR NOSTALGIA.

It's never the same when you leave a place you felt most comfortable in.

You got lots to explore in Ak . So get to it and take some more pics and share them with your buddies here.

could be that he likes squeezing fish:

or it could be that he likes squeezing his mermaid (by name at least). what's confusing is that his mermaid also likes to squeeze fish:

sometimes the fish leaves its mark on the forehead....

I can see she likes to squeeze the bigger ones. That speaks well for AKPM.

At least with her around he won't starve

C'mon, think positive. She's got pretty eyes and is holding a fish.
