In the past year I've had > 10 weeks of paid time off comprising of a 3 week Micronesia surf trip, 3 week Aus surf trip, Hawaiian honeymoon, a couple of NYC drinking trips, a Vegas binge and countless ski / surf days

...and I still have 4 weeks of vacation left

Slacking time just went down drastically after taking up a new job. Only get a glimps of the forum whilst starting up (30mins) and around lunch (10mins).

Check in here from home quite often though.

PS Job is great (business development) so funnily enough I don't miss it too much.

I'm in a company that's being taken over, and slacking has been taken to a new level.
Not content with just doing no work, some people have got motivated enough to organize 'business' trips to Asia and Europe. No work will be done. Since there will be mass retrenchments and we have a budget until Dec 31, no-one gives a shit.

I organized a hiking trip to Jackson Hole at end of August (customer meeting....) and am planning a crucial client visit to wherever has great snow in December. It's all gonna get ugly in January though.

I used to work at a senior citizens center and would spend hours shooting pool w/ the old guys. This, however, was not considered slacking...as i was interacting with the clientelle.

That job fuckn rocked, bummer that the pay was lousy and I had to leave!

Due to my slacking about 1700 retirees had their pension payments delayed for a week in the month of October. I read each of Boston;s online papers in the morning and usually skim the WSJ. And, if need be, I do my grad school homework. This doesnt include Fridays when I meet my friends either at the bowling alley or batting cage. The time I am actually not slacking off...is spent covering my ass for when I do slack.

    Anyone hiring?
I don't know why I laughed at this. That is horrible, yet a highwater mark. Has anyone else's slacking affected so many lives?

    Keep up the good work.

When I'm at work - - that's all I do. I work when I'm not at work too. It pays - - I've managed 2 weeks in Mexico and 2 weeks in China over the last 11 months and I'll be in Hawaii in December. Hmmmm... where to go next year?

(Seriously, why waste time while you're at work? You're not getting any younger. Get your shit done and move on...at least that's my take.)

    mmmmm.... sleeeeeeep....
but I know we can't all stay here forever, so I wanna write my words on the face of today...

Actually not that much. I usually get to check in here for at least a half hour. Sometimes several hours, but that's rare. Good news is I get my work week done in three nights so I skied 125 last season while working full time and making decent money.

    Not bad.
