Yes, I know a similar question has been asked millions of times, and the search function could tell me something, but I have maybe a different twist on the classic question:
I have a possible line to get some freerides for about the same price I would spend on new alpine bindings for my recently purchased sugar daddies. I have been telemarking for years, and go with that for backcountry. I originally got the sugar daddies for inbounds alpine use. But between the fact that they look like great backcountry skis and the fact that it appears the price issue will be a wash, I am considering going AT. Considering that these will probably be primarily an inbounds ski for me (tele boots will be much more comfortable for touring than my old alpine boots), does the loss of functionality inbounds exceed the added joy of a few days a year in the backcountry on these skis?
