I love that exact spot off South Saddle. Sweet shot in the Pinnacles there too.

Red Lodge is opening Cole Creek tommorow with an alleged 48" base. Not quite worth it for me as I gotta work at 5:00, but if yer goin crazy might be worth the drive.

Sledded up Buck Ridge today. Pretty bony in spots but great in others. Thinking about heading out again tomorrow and bringing the board this time. Anyone with a sled who wants to get after it shoot me a message. Possible pics to follow tomorrow

Wondered who the ampers were who were headed up Buck today. We were up Taylors Fork. Lean and sketchy, toured around a little and dug. Rooping in was the hilight for sure.

I actually "skied" pow today for the first time since injury. It went pretty well and I am very happy. Took me a couple runs to get the feel of it again, but I think I got it. No low tide Bridger gnar gnar for a while, but I'll be stoked if there is enough snow to scratch around on groomers in a week or two.

Would anyone be up for poking around somewhere near Blackmore this weekend? I just want to get outside and skin around for a day and see what the snow looks like.

Also, does anyone have a spare set of Dynafit leashes that aren't being used?

Hey Aenigma, I got a set of new dynafit leashes you can have. I'm one of those lame brake users...

Depending on what happens with Bridger, I'd be down for a tour on sat or sun.

Hit me up, let me know.

    Opening Day Info

The good news: Bridger will be open for the season starting Friday, Dec. 9th. The not so good news: Only the Quad and Snowflake will be spinning. Here is the official info that details the specifics:

    Limited Opening Announcement (http://bridgerbowl.com/events/view_event/101/)

Bridger Bowl's opening day is this Friday, December 9th. Due to below normal snowfall and settled snow depth to date, we will have limited beginner terrain open off the Powder Park Quad and Snowflake lifts only from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Adult tickets will be $20, kids 7-12 will be $10 and a Snowflake only ticket will be $5. Starting Friday, uphill travel out of the base area is not permitted 24 hours a day. Uphill travel above the Powder Park Quad is not advised but may be permitted until the upper mountain lifts open - contact ski patrol for updates and information. Please be aware that Early Season Conditions exist, including unmarked natural and man made obstacles; we encourage you to ski and ride with caution.

Food and beverage service will be available at the Jim Bridger Lodge cafeteria and FaceShots in the Jim Bridger Base Lodge. The Free Weekend Ski Bus will not be operating until further notice.

The Season Pass office will be open at Bridger Bowl on Tuesday and Wednesday this week from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for pass sales, paperwork and photos. The office will be closed on Thursday, and will re-open daily for the season on Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

We ended up heading uo Taylor's Fork, on Sunday. Definetly should've gone back up to Buck. My buddy broke a trailing arm almost immediately and limped the sled back to the parking lot. Much better up in the McAtee area, FYI.

    WARNING BIG SKY CONTENT

Bowl is still skiing nice and fast. Despite what the snow report says, T-Wolf is turning with manmade on Elk park and nice heavy, not too rocky pow in Elk Park Meadows. Worth a few runs to check it out.

Nice, looks pretty tempting. Probly a good time on the ol' Pocket Rockets. I would have loved to poke around up there but can't chance it with the new knee at such low tide. I was happy enough scraping around on groomers up at Showdown yesterday. I'll be ready to pork 'er if La Nina ever gets wet.

Bump cuz I've never seen this thread so far back.

I am moving to Bozeman right after the New Year, taking 6 cr. at MSU. I currently know ZERO peeps in S.W. Montana but I'm looking forward to getting after it. Just wondering how easy it is to find partners to climb ice, tour, and ski the resort etc. I've got a 12 pack for anybody willing to give me the rundown/runaround at Bridger and or B.S.

Here's to more snow when I get there, the extended forecasts look good!

Cliffhucker I'll make some turns with ya when we get some snow, six credits seems about right for a decent ski season, you're gonna have a good time once things get rollin.

Hit up Red Lodge Monday Tuesday, it was a damn good time. Chalky snow, good coverage, knee workin' out pretty good, pretty satiated for now, but...I'm gonna need to go on medication if things don't improve drastically soon.

Holler when you get to town and I'll give you the goods or you can tag along with our group when we hit up Bridger or Big Sky.

I can also connect you to a few ice climbers I know.

As for housing, there's plenty if you're willing to pay through nose to live alone. Otherwise, there are plenty of rooms for rent or people looking for room mates; myself included.

    Word.

Heard it was fun, all things considered. I chose to stick to Exploder and the magic carpets.
I think the potato gun proved the stability.

Finally swallowed my pride and drug myself up to the hill today, happy to at least be able to feel some speed on the groomer, nice they can make snow up to the midway now. Took a couple runs down Ptarmigan, but decided not to push my luck otherwise. North bowl looked sketchy.
