Snowbird Comp Day 1 Results & Vid

    On biglines:
    http://www.biglines.com/articles_readmore.php?read=1431

    the vid is pretty cool

J -- you beat out some big names including Brett Deuter, Steve Bedford, and Johnny Manwaring. These guys are always very competitive at the KW comps & others. Freaking great job.

And here's a shout out to my Kirkwood mang Craig Garbiel capturing 9th!

EDIT: and whoa! Kirkwood manga Amy Holland qualifying 4th...saweetness!

Nice work! Am I seeing this right that MD had the highest bib number? Does that mean he was the very last skier? That's gotta be tough.

Big ups to J, Daryn Edmunds, and Joey Smallwood (who skied his first run w/ boots unbuckled).

Hah, my buddy is in 36th, right in front of md9.

Interesting - I don't see Brian Gadoury up there... I thought he was pro? All talk I guess.

    Is this our own SandytheSkier??

Sweet vid, very nice. J, see yourself in there?? Saw one line that kinda looked like the end 2 airs of your run, right before the dude goes over his handlebars.

I am so stoked for the MINI it is unreal.

Didn't check the results yet, but anyone see Stryker's name on the list? Was supposively a competitor at the bird this year.

Heh. If I know Bedford he was baked to the gills and "too cool for the qualifier"...but he'll be back for blood. Oh yes.

    Young Jared,

Good work young man and in the coming days may you ski with the effortlessness of the wind and may your flips and spins have the skill and grace of Greg Lougayness.

    Godspeed.

    MD9 here.

I'm at Fred's (dial-up) so I can't check out the vid. Huge props to Frozen for letting me crash at his place for so long. To be honest I thought I'd be here a night or two tops.

Craig Garbiel is a stud. Very cool guy. One of the few guys I've been hanging with up here. We got to talking after I noticed he was on No Ka Ois.

BB, your buddy is actually proabably right behind me now as there was a mistake in adding my scores. Frozen was looking through my cards last night and noticed that one of them didn't add up. My 26.8 is now a 27.2 and the tie for 35th is over. It is now solely mine.

    Big props J.

Wish I could be there to cheer you on. Shake it-don't break it.
